Kirsty Lester - Managing Director of Sunbeams Day Care Ltd

Kirsty is the Managing Director of Sunbeams Day Care Ltd. She has 13 years experience in childcare having owned and managed First Steps and Buddies in Parkstone for 10 years previously. Nowadays her role is predominantly admin based; ensuring all the relevant paperwork is complete, paying the wages, monitoring the curriculum and quality. Her other very important role is driving the mini-bus!

Dolly is the manager of Sunbeams and her role is to oversee the day-to-day running of the setting. She is responsible for staffing levels, ratios, planning the curriculum, ensuring the EYFS is adhered to appropriately, and generally making sure it all runs smoothly. With over 12 years experience she is qualified to NVQ3 and also has a Montessori teaching certificate.

Jackie is the setting deputy; able to step up and run things in Kirsty’s or Dolly’s absence. With over 20 years experience as a qualified NNEB Jackie recently completed her BA (hons) in Early Years. Her past 4 years of hard degree work together with all her knowledge can now be used for contributing to planning and her role as keyworker to "Ladybirds" group. She is also our ENCO (Equalities Named Co-ordinator)

Lisa is the Supervisor for Tiggers room working closely with senior management to ensure Tiggers runs well. She is responsible for 3 other staff members, ensures planning is implemented successfully and evaluated, also as key worker for "Bumble bees" she mentors other less experienced members of staff where necessary. Lisa has a BTech in childcare and 4 years experience in a senior Childcare role

Suzie has been with Sunbeams since it first opened in 2006 and has been acting room supervisor for Piglets since September 2008. Suzie is responsible for 2 other members of staff and works closely with the senior management and her team to ensure Piglets runs well on a daily basis. She is also the key worker for "Bumble Bees" has an NVQ2 and recently enrolled on her NVQ3 to start in September

Highly experienced Debbie relocated to Poole from Welwyn Garden City in early 2008 having previously worked in the same school for over 20 years. Working closely with the team in Tiggers (Debbie is also the SENCO for Tiggers) during school hours, Debbie is the key worker for "Butterflies" but also works with the older children in Buddies after school and during holidays. Debbie has a Certificate in Teaching

Holly, NVQ3 qualified with 7 years experience in childcare, is a key worker for "Ladybirds" in the Piglets team and SENCO for Piglets and Buddies. After school, using her natural enthusiastic energy as Buddies Supervisor, her role ensures planning has a good balance of adult led and child initiated activities, with children having no chance to get bored. Her Foundation degree in early years starts in September

Kirstyn is the youngest member of the Sunbeams staff and has been with us for 2 ½ years since she was 17. She has already gained her NVQ2 and has enrolled on her level 3 for September. Kirstyn works closely with the rest of the team in Tiggers and is the key worker for "Wiggly worms" as well as working with Buddies after school and during the holidays

Nicola started working at Sunbeams in March and is already an invaluable member of the Piglets team. She gained her NVQ2 in her last post and has enrolled in her NVQ3 from September. Nicola works closely with the Piglets team and is the Key worker for “Butterflies” group.

Kelly, new to the team, will be covering Lisa's maternity leave as Tiggers supervisor as well as being a key worker for Bumble Bees. Kelly is a qualified NNEB with 9 yrs experience and NVQ level 4. This year she will also be studying to be an NVQ assessor.
